Porting Numbers
The Porting API enables you to take US and Canadian phone numbers (currently only local, but toll free in the future) that are with another carrier and port them into your inventory inside Sinch's Build dashboard. Once inside the dashboard they can be used with various Sinch products.

Note:
Porting is typically needed with Voice (or Voice & Messaging) use cases. For Messaging/SMS only use cases, see Number Hosting.
Important!
In order to send SMS and MMS messages in the US using 10DLC phone numbers, all messages must be sent via an approved campaign. Your campaigns are managed under US 10DLC Campaigns in the SMS section. A number can be associated to an approved campaign after the port completes.
Letter of Authorization (LOA) Notification
By requesting that your numbers be ported to and/or provided by Sinch, Customer (i) authorizes Sinch to act as Customer's text messaging provider for SMS/MMS text messages, and (ii) consents to Sinch to enabling your numbers to receive and to send SMS/MMS text messages. If the numbers being ported by Customer to Sinch are controlled by Customer's customers, Customer represents and warrants that it has received all rights and authorizations necessary for the porting sought in its request, and Customer will promptly provide Sinch with documentation evidencing Customer's receipt of such rights and authorizations upon request. This LOA does not apply to any numbers not subject to this request and may not be transferred to any third party. This LOA does not affect your voice calling services and you may keep your numbers with your voice services provider without any porting required.
